Episode 4: Lost Pilot (part 2)

A thought suddenly occurs to me. I wonder how illegal it is that I actually reproduce the soundtrack to Lost on my podcast. You'll have to find me first ABC! I'm betting about a thousand people would also have to find me before anyone even cared.

Oh no! Kate's bra and panties don't match! How embarrassing!

Episode 4 Lost Pilot (Part 1)

So for the first time in our little podcast's history, we will be doing a tv show instead of a movie. The first episode of Lost is better than most movies anyway, so let's get crackin.'

I actually never saw an entire episode of this show until this past Summer. I watched the first two seasons on dvd in a short amount of time. It's always real fun to hit up tv in that manner. No commercials and full seasonal resolutions.

This week I decided to add a new feature. I'm putting an audio mix of the program in the background to pad some of the more silent parts. Hopefully it will be a boon to the podcast instead of an annoyance. I certainly hope it's a good thing, because it takes a long time to properly mix the two sets of audio together. Maybe it would be a good reason to get Protools or something.

Maria's on co-host duty again. After we finished up she told me that she'd never actually seen the first episode until we did the commentary. You wouldn't know it.

Episode 3: Some Kind of Wonderful (Part 2)

Part 2 begins with chapter 15 and carries on through to the end. Lea Thompson is all business in the date of the century. Also, my hero Hardy Jenns (with two 'n's) unfortunately gets his just desserts.

Download the part 2 mp3 right here.

Now that we've watched Pretty in Pink and Some Kind of Wonderful, which do you prefer? Do tell and do tell why.

Episode 3: Some Kind of Wonderful (Part 1)

Episode three happens to officially be my fourth most favorite movie ever. Maria and Monica join me once more for a wonderful and entertaining memory trip. Some Kind of Wonderful opened in 1987 on my tenth birthday. It's totally in my blood.

Part 1 covers chapters 1 through 14 (and some of 15 that we overlapped with part 2)

Download the mp3 here.

You can tell how evil Hardy is by the unbuttoned level of his shirt (same with Stef from Pretty in Pink!)
Look! It's the mural clown that taunts Duckie in Pretty in Pink

Episode 2: Pretty in Pink (part 2)

Soooo... Stef is a teacher right? He's not a student is he? Also, did Iona give Andie permission to totally mangle her little pink number? What mix of "If You Leave" do we actually hear in the movie?

Remember to download part 1 before this edition.

This edition (part 2) is here.

Episode 2: Pretty in Pink (part 1)

So this time we have the added bonus of Maria and Monica commenting! You totally need chicks around to comment on this particular flick. We watched the "Everything's Duckie Edition" DVD just so you know.

This week I decided to do this thing in two separate parts. This is part one: chapters 1-8.

Watch for Molly Ringwald's quiver.
