Episode 8: Top Gun (Part 2)

Aaaaand finally here's part 2! We start with DVD chapter 9 entitled "The Need for Speed!" Yee-Haw!

From this shot we learn that Goose's name is actually Nick Bradshaw. It's also the shot where we're allowed to start crying.

"So, Pete... ya like movies about gladiators?"

Many people forget the scene where Maverick is psychologically harassed by a member of Emperor Hirohito's Loyalist Party.

Happy trails!

Episode 8: Top Gun (Part 1)

This episode marks the inaugural appearance of friend and roommate Rhett Weller! Rhett is a self-described expert on the Tony Scott film known as Top Gun.

Tom Cruise: 5' 7"
Kelly McGillis: 5' 10"

The most famous psychological games mime air-bite in the history of cinema

Sometimes when Tom Cruise kisses in the dark, he thinks he's eating an apple

For some weird reason, this image is what I most remember about this movie.

See? This is why we do the bottled water thing nowdays.
You gotta admit, that's one good lookin' sweater.I don't know who this stuntman is, but I consider him the funniest man in the history of the world.
One element of being an action star hero is the ability to solidly cover the bad guy with the strictest, most disciplined poker face.

Episode 7: Three Amigos! (Part 1)

This film cracked my top 15 movie list I made five or six years ago at number 15. I'm actually quarter Mexican (technically) and Maria is half Mexican, so if we made any sort of insensitive comments during this little production, they were totally justified.

Tequila: a Mexican liquor distilled from the fermented sap of an agave
Two men in bed together: insensitive and unfunny. Three men in bed together: hilarious!
Is loving Martin Short the product of nurture or nature?Don't ask us to say anything at all about this. Just watch and enjoy.

Episode 6: Transformers: The Movie (Part 2)

Stay with us to Orson Welles' dying breath! Things are awesome right up to ten minutes left.

Part 2 covers chapter 12 all the way to the end.

The maid in The Jetsons was pretty hot in her early days.
There's the octopus we were talkin' about. We didn't really describe it all that well.
I have seen the future... and the future is robotic sharks with arms!
It's Robot Little Prince... and he looks pissed!

Episode 6: Transformers: The Movie (Part 1)

Just in time for the release of the 2007 live-action movie! I geek out over this one pretty hard considering Transformers was pretty much my life from 1984-1987. Unfortunately I never actually saw this in the theater. I'll pay 50 bucks to actually see it in the cinema today.

Part 1 covers chapters 1-11.

What is this thing? Pretty nice teaser!

Was this guy's name Huffer or Brawn? I can't really remember. Anyway, he's the first Transformer to actually die (pretty unceremoniously too).

Look at the Warner Brothers animation on the eyes of this Dinobot.

Who is the one true Cyclonus? Bombshell or Skywarp. I'm still holding out for Skywarp although he's in the background.
